PAYMENT POLICY:

BILLING POLICY - All session fees are due at the appointment time. Payment can be made in cash, check or credit card. You can also pay in advance on our website through PayPal.


APPOINTMENTS - A 48 hour cancellation notice is requested, session fees will be charged for all non-emergency cancellations under 24 hours. Arriving late to an appointment will not extend the appointment time. With emergencies, we will make every effort to modify an appointment time, if another is available within that week. We require a credit card number will be kept on file to secure missed session fees.


MEDICAL INSURANCE - Medical insurance may or may not cover nutrition therapy. If Ms Dougherty is an “out of network” for your insurance companies, you will likely be eligible for partial reimbursement with your providers. Full payment is due at the session time.

We will provide necessary documentation or file claims, however, we do not assume responsibility for fees that insurance does not cover. it is suggested to verify benefits prior to the visit. We will submit billing for all in network clients and no payment is due at the session.



Length





Michelle prefers an office visit for the initial consultation. She will gather information on your medical and treatment history and listen to your goals. When possible, initial strategies will be developed and reviewed. You will be advised on any information, forms or documents needed prior to the session.

Michelle’s private practice is located in Morristown and Bridgewater, New Jersey. There is convenient parking available.

Michelle is available from Monday to Saturday. She offers afternoon and evening appointments.

Your initial sessions will last for 90 minutes. After this, you will be scheduled 30 to 60 minute follow up appointments. The frequency depends on your goals and support needs.

Yes. Most, but not all, insurance carriers are accepted, so please make sure you consult with our office first.

Yes. Video conferencing is available for clients who qualify to have their sessions from home. Please visit the Video Counseling page for more information.

Yes. Michelle can only share information with other healthcare professionals or your family if you have given your written approval.

Family involvement is generally optional, though it may be recommended by your treatment team. Family Counseling is available.
